All of a sudden Crónica’s fifth anniversary is here to be celebrated. Nothing better than to do it with something both big and new. Our thirty-second release, sporting 192 minutes of the finest mus*****c from our dearest artists, gift-wrapped as our first full digital release, in a brand new and parallel immaterial venture called the “Unlimited Release Series”.

It’s been five years of Crónica, with 32 releases out and many more to come, with wonderful work to do and wonderful people to do it with, with something (we hope) accomplished, but with still so much to be done.

STYLE
the style of laridae is somewhere between idm, beats`n bleeps, electropop and ambient. no strictly baselines.
we listen to artists like autechre, notwist, four tet, mice parade, vangelis, bola, queen...


STORY
the label was founded in spring 2004 but most of the artists got to know each other earlier in the fm4-soundpark (an online music community thing made up by the local radio-station FM4). but as the possibilities to release music there are limited to a single track once a month or so, we decided to make something on our own. so we founded a netlabel, laridae (named after a track by photophob).

Red is a netlabel located in nothern germany. Red is focused on electronic styled music like ambient, electronica and idm.
